R & Rest Days

The weekend rest from radiation was really needed. After Friday's treatment #4, we met with Dr. Hennig who basically asked how he was feeling. She showed us the CTs done for the treatment. After #10 another will be done to see the state of the large tumors. His voice has changed and she said sometimes lung cancer will wrap around a nerve that goes through the vocal chords. Dean's strength is pretty low. Afterwards a trip to the post office box, then home, and he is ready for a nap. I slept 14 hours. The last couple days, he has been a little short of breath. Monday #5 our good friends Paul and Karen visited with us in the waiting area. Dean wanted to go out for fried oysters. He saw someone eating them on a travel show and it has his mouth watering. Another day, dear love, another day.

Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord?
Or who shall stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who has not lifted himself up to falsehood
nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psalm 24
