R Day 3

Today Dean asked for thin pancakes, crispy on the edges and bacon for breakfast. I think he must have been remembering his childhood as my pancakes are usually thick and moist. I also fixed some pork tenderloin, sliced in country gravy, and eggs. He smacked his lips and said it was delicious. His taste buds sure are supercharged lately.

He seems to have such an appetite and a need to eat every couple of hours. He gets weighed after each treatment and has lost 3 pounds.

Every day he gets out the ladder and fills the bird feeder that is right outside my computer corner window, takes out the garbage and compost, and walks down the road a little. He seemed a little weak today, but that is expected. His hand had a slight tremor, mainly in the fingers today as he was finishing up his shower. That's the first time in many days.

I made sure he had a little something to eat before his late afternoon treatment. Yesterday we had to wait longer than normal and he got a little shaky. Today after walking from the parking garage, and getting him to the waiting area, I went up and across the skybridge to the main building for coffee, stopping here and there for some photos. By the time I got back, he was finished and sitting out in the main area waiting for me.
