Casting All Our Care Upon Him

After treatment #7 on Wednesday, Dean sat down in the new courtyard to chat with his special friend Don while I took some photos. Today Jonathan and a friend finished cleaning up most of the limbs and brush around our place broken off by the ice storm. Deans strength was very low today. It pained him not to be able to get out and help.

I offered to drop him off at the door of the COM building for his treatment today, but he still insisted on walking in from the parking garage. The radiation doctor met with us after his treatment today (#8). He has two more full-brain treatments left, then she wants to do three more localized on the largest tumor. Concerned about his shortness of breath and a couple other things we mentioned, she is going to contact Dr. Pierce on Friday morning to discuss moving up the chemo. If he agrees, it could start next Wednesday. She didn't feel it should be put off another full week.

He has had no pain at all. The feeling in his right hand has improved a good bit, though there is still partial numbness in the three outside fingers. He has a voracious appetite and hasn't lost his hair yet. We've been going to Jamba Juice before his treatments for wheatgrass juice. So on Wednesday I bought a small container of wheat grass at Life Source, but our juicer wouldn't juice it. Need to look into getting one that will. We both are doing well emotionally and so appreciate all your thoughts. We definitely feel the results of your prayers and thank you deeply.
