Jill passed away July 8 at 2:30 in the morning, with Jonathan [me] at her side.

Dear Jonathan - I found your parents' story via City Daily Photo this morning and wanted to express my condolences immediately.
I spent a good part of today reading Jill's entire blog. Love is evident in her every post. It sounds like your family is blessed in many many ways.

Jonathan - I'm sorry for the loss of your mom so soon after the loss of your dad. I'm also sad that we were out of town on July 25th and not able to attend your mom's service. They were both wonderful people and a great example of how God wants us all to live! You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I was a blog friend of Jill's. She was of great comfort to me when my husband passed away two years ago, and my mother last year. She followed my blog and commented often. I enjoyed her thoughtfulness and her beautiful photos.
I've been thinking of you since reading of your mother's passing. She was such a kind friend to many of us in the daily photo blog community. I was just driving my new high school graduate to a new job in California and passed through Salem and thought of Jill and the long journey of ill health you have all had these past years. There are many who feel as I do about your mom. She was a sweet and talented woman. Her attitude always inspired me, especially when the going got tough. I am wishing you fond memories of your parents and comfort in your considerable grief. I can imagine how greatly they loved you, having noted the way they lived their lives and considered others. This is a sad season of goodbyes. May God bless you in the days ahead. I am so thankful for the wonderful presence Jill had in the City Daily Photo community.
